Take that Brad Pitt
This is pretty fun. Check out this hand dandy page for comparing how tall you are to famous people. As you can see, Brad Pitt is but a wee ant to me. Yes, a wee ant, excellent. Link
Bridesmaid Dresses

Jason and I went down to Windsor this weekend so Mel and the other bridesmaids could pick out the bridesmaid dresses.
We picked the one on the right in the colours of the one on the left.
Pretty, eh!
Yay!
Finished KOTOR 2
I finished Knights of the Old Republic 2 this morning. I liked it. I think it was fairly well done, even if Bioware didn’t produce this incarnation.
There where a number of bugs, that I could have lived without, but a nice one that was easy to exploit. That was, the swoop racing. There is a simple way to beat the swoop races, simply speed up to the first spherical obstacle, pause the game, abandon the race, and you are recorded with the time that you abandoned the race. I just don’t have a good enough picture on my TV to race properly. Other than that, the voice acting was solid.
I enjoyed a lot of the new force powers that where added, and the new combat forms. All made it seem much more that the character was a powerful Jedi, and couldn’t easily be taken out by stray blaster fire. That always annoyed me about the first one. But try it out for yourself.
No commentsFeed Burner
Ray told me about FeedBurner today. It’s pretty cool. It will create nice stats for your XML feeds, massage them so that they display in any reader or browser. Automatically put enclosures around media files. That makes it perfect for podcasts. All and all pretty cool.

I may be a nerd, but I’m not as nerdy as this guy. How nerdy are you?
Old Games are New Again
I love it when this happens. I used to play Star Control way back when I was in grade 9 over 14 years ago, and it was a lot of fun. Funny and pretty good graphics and game play for it’s day. That holds true today, and thankfully a group of developers felt the same way about the game. So much so, that they rewrote it, for free, for Windows, Mac and Linux. It’s available for download from SourceForge.
I’ve played it for a day or so now, and it holds up just as well as the original, and brings back all those warm and fuzzy memories. Check it out for yourself.
No commentsCan I borrow this?
Hey Folks,
I have a course this semester called Information Management and I just found out its about computer stuff. Well on a scale of 1-10 on my computer genius level I put myself around -4 or -5. I’m really hoping some of the more computer savy SDF1-ers have some reading materials I can borrow. I apparently need to learn how to use Access and Excel. I know what Excel is, I use it to put lists in alphabetical order. lol Access???
In order to do this course i apparently need three text books:
Exploring Microsoft Excel 2002 Volume 1 (Grauer)
Exploring Microsoft Access 2002 (Grauer)
Management Information Systems (Laudon)
Does anyone have any of these three books from your own computer wiz studies? I dont necessarily think I need 2002 versions of how to use Excel and Access, any book or guide would be better than what I don’t know right now.
Thanks SDF1!

So, Bloging is big news in 2004
Well, it’s interesting to see that blogging has gone mainstream in 2004, according to the BBC News. I’ve had a blog since June 2002, and have convinced most of my friends, save one, that it’s a pretty good idea. The biggest issue with blogs that I’ve run into when explaining them to other people, has to be syndication and RSS. Maybe I’m over explaining how it works, Staysea says I do that a lot. I think that it will take a bigger push than just bloggers telling other bloggers to get RSS and syndication out there as a common place resource. Integration with browsers and mail readers is a good step. I know Firefox, has the ability to recognize RSS feeds and create live bookmarks and the next version of Safari for OS X will have it too. A live a bookmark that branches out, and shows the last 10 articles up on that site. It is handy but can become a bit overwhelming when you have a large number. Plus it doesn’t tell you that there is anything new or interesting to look at.
