Jay’s Life

I’m like a superhero with no powers or motivation, and she’s my Lois Lane.

Tremblant

Today was awesome! Tremblant is beautiful. The top of the run was actually up inside the cloud cover. Plus there must have been thousands of people there, but none of the lifts where ever that busy no more than a 5 minute wait at the bottom.

I only got 4 runs in all day, it took so long to get to the bottom. I had some problems at the beginning, I’m not used to snowboarding on real snow, mostly ice and man made stuff. I was better on my 2nd and 3rd runs then had all my confidence on the 4th, but sadly, my body was done. I’m so sore now, just complete muscle exhaustion.

Spencer went off and did the glades with Mark and John, and I even tried some of the stuff in the trick park. I tried what can only be described as NASCAR corners, sadly, I got about 3/4 of the way through both corners then popped over the top. Funny though. Did I mention that real snow is a lot softer than what I’m used to falling on? It is.

Funny enough, I actually ran into other people that I know from doing guard comps. Small world. I also ran into Mark Tuksburg (sp?), he hosted a series called ‘How Stuff’s Made’ on TLC or Discovery or something like that. Anyhow, ran into him in the elevator at the hotel after we got back.

Looks like a whole lot of fun. Real mountains - hard to find out east. The pictures remind me of Whistler. Maybe you can check it out one day.
