Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Years celebration.

Just call me “the crazy bird lady”! Actually Icarus belongs to Jason, he adopted him because my drivers licence didn’t match the address on my adoption application. He’s fully into the budgie spirit!

It was discovered this morning that we had a bit of a problem. Female budgies will fight each other for a male bird, we had 2 females and 1 male…we had a fight. In the end Wynnie won and Marygold was banished to the other cage. As a result we (after searching the humane societies for male budgies) went to pick up a male bird from SuperPet….not something i’m proud of, but it was the only option.
His name is Dax. We brought him home and all 4 birds promptly fell asleep, so we don’t really know if him and Marygold are going to hit it off. Stay tuned to find out how our budgie soap opera unfolds.

We have another bird here now. Icarus. He’s a blue budgie like Wynnie, and they have paired off. We adopted him yesterday from the Toronto Humane Society. We’re going to have to go get another male today, since it is apparent that there is some animosity from Marigold. So the birds double.

He’s a rescue from the Toronto Humane Society. He was found yesterday outside..poor guy. He’s very friendly. He’s not been introduced to Wynn and Mair yet, we’re going to wait a few days until he’s all settled and cool with us before he has to meet the girls.

I finished GTA 3 this morning. Yay! Now on to Vice City. The later is definitely more of an adult game, if that is possible.
Parents, DO NOT buy Grand Theft Auto for your kids. On that subject, here is a hint when buying games. There is a rating system, just like movies. It describes what age group the game is for and what levels of violence might be in it. Buying an M rated game (Mature) is exactly the same as buying your child some Porn or an R rated movie.

Hello everyone! Hope you have a good Christmas day. I’ll be having a double christmas, as I’ll be celebrating again tomorrow when I go home to be with Staysea. See you tomorrow sweetheart.

Staysea and Melissa both received new hats from Granny McLeod. She knit them especially for the girls. Very nice.

School is over, my christmas shopping is done, life is good!
I’ve been pretty busy lately. At Jasons parents place for the weekend with his brother Paul and his girlfriend Melissa. Got a chance to relax and be free from work and other demands for a few days. It was wonderful! So wonderful in fact that i had to come home alone, Jay is still up there with his parents until friday.
My dad is coming home tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We’re picking him up tomorrow at 6pm, I am crazy excited! Days seem to be dragging by, i’ve never looked forward to wednesday before.

Also, I have two new birds….well at least for today, tomorrow they are going to London to live with Kat and Evan. Kat is amazing with birds, she knows everything! She saved Wynnies life when two vets both told me that she was going to die. She’ll take good care of them.

Nothing much else is new. I worked today with my broken toe, it was painful, i split a pint of beer down the front of a guy while trying only to stand on my left foot….he was really great, he forgave me.

I’ve been really bored, its only tuesday, i came from from the manor yesterday and it feels like days. The house is really empty. Jason is away, Pandora is with him, my birds are at my parents house… i have no one to play with. I’m a little afraid of these new birds, i’m scared they might freak out and go into a panic attack if i try and interact with them and i just dont want to stress them out.
I think maybe i’ll grab a book and chill. Janine and Glenn gave me a new one, an Anne Rice book, i’ve never read Anne Rice, it’ll be an adventure. My other book ended okay. I was depressed for days because my book was so sad…it was defeating….thats the sign of a good author, when it really gets to you. It was She’s Come Undone by Wally Lamb.
