Liberal Landslide
So the election is over, the Liberal party is in power and everyone saw it coming.
Some interesting things to consider….
Elections Canada ran a Elementary and Secondary School mock election mirroring the candidates running in Ontario. The results? Well, secondary school students put the Liberals in power with 93 seats! (Official Results) And the Elementary students voted the Liberals in with a more conservative 69 seats. (Official Results)
Even more staggering is that this was the second lowest voter turnout in Ontario, with only 55% of registered voters getting out to make their opinion heard. The lowest turn out was in 1928 with 54% turnout. Attention you 45% who did not vote, you have NO right to complain one iota about anything the Ontario Liberal party does while they are in power. Loose your job? Tough, you should have said something about it when you had the chance.
