So when are a Kitten’s eyes supposed to open?
Conservatively we would put Sox at 15 days old. That being said, she should have opened her eyes on her own 10 days ago. We helped her open them last night and she seems to be looking around on her own now. She has teeth, on her top and lower jaw, so she may be closer to 18 or 20 days old. We can’t be sure.
Either way she’s off to the vet today to have her eyes looked at and get a little more iron in her diet. Her tongue is a little pail, leading us to believe she’s got a bit of an iron deficiency.
