Cool Book
I think I’m going to pick up Hacking the XBox. It’s a book detailing the reverse engineering efforts of a hacker trying to figure out the XBox. It’s really cool. It talks about the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act), a us act that covers digital copyright and copyright protection. Basically, the idea is that if you buy something it’s not really yours, but still belongs to the creators of it. So if I wanted to change the way something works, for my personal use, it could be potentially illegal. Thankfully this insanity seems to be limited to the United States and is not here in Canada. Still the book looks like it would be interesting.
