She’s mobile!

Conservatively we would put Sox at 15 days old. That being said, she should have opened her eyes on her own 10 days ago. We helped her open them last night and she seems to be looking around on her own now. She has teeth, on her top and lower jaw, so she may be closer to 18 or 20 days old. We can’t be sure.
Either way she’s off to the vet today to have her eyes looked at and get a little more iron in her diet. Her tongue is a little pail, leading us to believe she’s got a bit of an iron deficiency.

Did you know kittens are supposed to gain 4 oz a week?

On Sunday, NASA’s Galileo probe, ended a 14 year mission. It was sent to Jupiter to study it’s moons and observe the surrounding region. Some stats for you.
Launched in 1989 from Shuttle Atlantis, traveled a total of 4.6 billion kilometers, withstood 4 times the amount of Jovian radiation than it was designed to.
It was purposely put on a collision course with Jupiter since it was out of fuel, and NASA did not want it to crash into Europa. There are questions as to wether or not life may exist in the oceans on Europa. There are current plans for a second mission to study Europa in more detail.

Isabelle didn’t pack quite as much punch as we where expecting in TO, but I found this amazing picture of her.

I have been so sick for the past few weeks. It hit it’s peak back on Wednesday night. I’m feeling better now though. That’s the reason for the absence of updates. More to follow I’m sure.

Our kitten is getting huge! She stayed at the Phillips this weekend with Jess and when i went to pick her up this afternoon i thought they were trying to give me a completely different cat. Shes developing grey stripes down her head and her belly is turning white, we’re not sure what she’s going to look like. She still hasn’t opened her eyes but it should be really really soon….i know i keep saying that.

Awww, the little kitty is getting a bath! Despite what it looks like she really does like bath time.
