Jay’s Life

I’m like a superhero with no powers or motivation, and she’s my Lois Lane.

A lot of work ahead, but fun work.

So, Apple released an online music service (*yay*) but only available to americans (*boo*) and new iPods (*yay*) and new iTunes (*yay*). So I have to re-rip all my CDs to the new format, cuz they sound better and because they are smaller (so I can fit more on my iPod) (*yay*).

They all support and use a better form of music compression AAC or M4A files. It’s the same audio format that is used on DVDs to store the surround sound, so smaller files, and better sound. Both good. Plus the file stores the cover art so you can display it while playing your tracks (nice little feature)

Jambalaya

Ooo.. My mom gave me some of the ham to take home from Easter dinner, so I made Jambalaya. It was very good. As a treat, Pandora got the shrimp and crab cans. As you can see she really enjoyed that.

Weekend Work

Went into work today. Wasn’t able to get much done though. Bit upsetting. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll make more headway.

I’m really tired. I think I’ll go have a nap.

Airport Mayhem

Staysea and I picked up Judith and Jeff at the airport from their trip to Cuba. Pearson is a disaster as far as roads and signs go. I fondly remember enjoying going to the airport, but now all the stupid people are so turned around it makes it dangerous for all of us to be driving there. It will be nice when it’s all done though.

We also saw the displays explaining SARS. I’m tired of hearing about it. There was even one guy wearing a mask. Unbelievable. The media has totally blown it out of proportion. The virus is not in the general population. It’s contained to certain areas and you’re not likely to pick it up just wandering the streets. Ah well, I suppose if we’re (Canadians) not involved in the war in Iraq then we need to be focused on some other catastrophe.

My sunburn is finally feeling better today. Just in time for what looks like a not to bad weekend for being outside (with sunblock on)

New Palm, and Hey my birthday is soon!

Palm released their newest handheld, the Tungsten-C. It’s really sweet. So if you had a lot of money lying around somewhere and you’d like to make one geek very, very happy on his birthday, then problem solved!

Enigmo is addictive

I’ve been playing a puzzle game called Enigmo. It is really addictive, and very pretty. You should check it out, if you’re lucky enough to have a Mac that is. ;)

Movie Night

You know what? The drive-in is a great deal. $5 each, 2 movies. It’s even cheaper than renting from the video store!

We saw Basic and Anger Management. The first was very complicated and we missed the first few minutes, that might have explained the confusion. I’d love to see it again. The second wasn’t that great. Some funny moments but overall I don’t think I’d watch it again.

Warm Sunny day…. damn I’m in PAIN!

It was a beautiful day at the Manor, the sun was out and it was a good 20 degrees and Staysea and I sat out in the sun, she read, I played gameboy.

So, now I’m sitting at home and my legs are burned from my knees down and my chest and arms are in the same shape. PAINFUL!!! Staysea gave me some Aloe Vera lotion, it’s nice and cool, and I’m sure it will stop the peeling, but I almost cried putting it on.
