Jay’s Life

I showed up at my last training of the fall and hey! Lianne was there. YAY. I was so disapointed that she wasn’t at Meadowvale. But she was at the training tonight. It was crazy busy, so we didn’t get to catch up much, but I’ll give her a call to catch up later.

Peter said that I should really get in touch with Jenn too. From what he heard from her sister, she liked me. So that’s good. I’m upset that I won’t be able to get to one of her games. She has one tomorrow at Queens. I’ll see if I can get her in an email or Peter said he might be able to get her number. That might be easier. I really liked her, and it would be nice to see her again. I guess more on that later.

Phew. I was not doing well durring the meeting. I was feeling like I was going to be sick. But it wasn’t a mass execution like we thought. Some bad news but I really don’t consider any news all that bad as long as I’m still working.

Well, back to work for now. I’m feeling much better. Thank God.

So, there is supposed to be an announcement tomorrow (internal). There are rumors that they are going to shut down the North American operations. That would really, really suck. I’m wondering if Tim can hire me on to work on the dock if that happens.

Maybe I could work in construction or something like that. I could enjoy building things that I can show to people. I don’t know. I suppose if I really do loose my job tomorrow I’ll probably have a bit of a breakdown. *sigh*

I guess we’ll see tomorrow.

My hell week is over. All the trainings for this week are done. The last one was at Glen Forest. I got to train with Maria, Kim and Rachel. There where a lot of staff, seven teams, but only ran over 15 minutes. Not too bad.

Got my iPod remote today. Yay! It’s really nice, I just found the page on Apple support telling me to push it in till it clicks. Duh. Works a lot more reliably now. It’s very nice. I think I said that already, but it is.

Went out with Maria after the training for a drink. That was nice. We had a nice long talk. The table across from us had 4 people I went to High School with. I couldn’t remember their names. Ah, well. I don’t get to hang out with Maria that often. She’s a lot of fun. Doesn’t hide her opinion on anything. I like that.

Not a whole lot happened yesterday. I had the night off after 2 nights of training. I did end up going out Tuesday night with Peter, Kelsy, Dan, Stacey and Rick after the Huron Park training. It was fun, I needed some social time. Working the trainings is always fun and social, but it’s good to have some down time with my friends.

Did the training at Meadowvale tonight. It’s always good to go back to my home pool. Most of the staff I taught their NLS, I love that. Meadowvale is my pool family.

Work is good, it’s busy. I like. I thrive in the frantic and the busy. Nothing is worse than dodling around waiting for something to happen. I love being in the thick of it, in the big waves and working to keep it together. Now, I’m going to crash, I still have a full day tomorrow with more testing and another training and no rest in sight. Except for the next few hours of sleep.

Geeze, I set this up and never used it. So starting TODAY! I’ll make an entry every day even if it’s not that interesting. Why not. I’ve got the storage for it and the time.

I worked the staff training at FM today. Good training. Christina and Peter where running it as well, and it ran great. There where a lot of strong new staff.

Arg, I missed a call from Jean today. Sucks, I was doing some testing of the TLM on Netscape. So, she went straight to voice mail. I miss you Jean. Hopefully she’ll call tomorrow, since I don’t have her phone number at school.

I’m feeling pretty tired though, I think I’ll finish watching my taped episode of The Screen Savers and go to bed.
